Victim Support Service Inc
Victim Support Service (VSS) is a statewide, community based not-for-profit organisation in South Australia. Qualified staff and trained volunteers provide a comprehensive range of services for adults and older adolescents who have experienced crime. This includes individual crime victims, their families, friends and the wider community.
We are a non-government organisation working in partnership with communities, police and other organisations across regional, rural and metropolitan areas.

Survey of Victims of Property Crime
Have you been the victim of a property crime in the last 5 years (e.g. burglary, theft, motor vehicle theft, arson or vandalism)? The School of Psychology at Flinders University is seeking Australian residents at least 18 years of age to complete a 10 minute survey on victims’ opinions and feelings about their victimisation. Participants will be asked to complete a short online questionnaire in their own time, and will receive a $10 Coles-Myer gift voucher upon completion. Participation is voluntary and anonymous. Advancing Victim-Centred Knowledge Essay Contest
Victim Support Service seeks to promote an outstanding victim-centred scholarship that examines the experiences of victims, how to assist victims rebuild their lives, or contributes to the work of the criminal justice system and allied professionals who serve victims.
Awards for excellence in victim-centred work will be given in three categories:
- Peer Reviewed Scholarly Article
- Graduate Student Paper
- Diploma / Undergraduate Student Paper
